JULIA ROBERTS


Julia Fiona Roberts (born October 28, 1967) is an American Actress. She became a Hollywood star after headlining the 1990s romantic comedy Pretty Woman, which grossed $464 million worldwide. After receiving Academy Award nominations for Steel Magnolias in 1990 and Pretty Woman in 1991, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2001 for her performance in Erin Brockovich. Her films, My Best Friend's Wedding, Mystic Pizza, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride, Valentine's Day, The Pelican Brief, Ocean's Eleven and Ocean Twelve have collectively brought box office receipts of over $2.4 billion, making her one of the most successful actors in terms of box office receipts.
Julia had become one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, topping the Hollywood Reporter's annual "power list" of top-earning female stars from 2005 to 2006. Her fee for 1990's Pretty Woman was $300,000; in 2003, she was paid an unprecedented $25 million for her role in Mona Lisa Smile. As for 2010, Julia's net worth was estimated to be $140 million.
Julia has been named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" eleven times. In 2001, Ladies Home Journal ranked her as the 11th most powerful woman in America. Julia has a production company called Red Om Films.

PRETTY WOMAN
Self-involved corporate raider Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) has recently split up the his girlfriend. Seeking directions to the Beverly Hills Hotel, he makes the acquaintance of free-spirited hooker Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) and decided to put her on a $3,000 retainer as his "date". He Cenderellarizes her by bankrolling a full wardrobe and cosmetic makeover. Of course, the setup will be strictly platonic. A disarming modern-day fairy tale, Pretty Woman was the picture that made Julia Roberts a superstar. As a charming as she is in her "giggling" sequences, Julia's best scene is her triumphant return to a posh Rodeo Drive shop where she'd been previously snubbed...


SLEEPING WITH ENEMY
This thriller about a battered wife stalked by her abusive husband. Laura Burney (Julia Roberts), the wife of a rich investment counselor, Martin (Patrick Bergin). Martin appreciates his wife as a trophy, but at home he abuses her for not keeping the house as clean as he would like it. The verbal abuse descends into physical violence. Laura decides to disappear rather than live a life under Martin as a brutalized slave. Laura fakes her own death by drowning, and relocates to Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she changes her name to Sara Waters. She starts a relationship with her neighbor, Ben Woodward (Kevin Anderson), but her happiness is short-lived. Martin has discovered that Laura has staged her drowning and is coming to Iowa to reclaim his possession...


HOOK
Peter Pan has become Peter Banning (Robin Williams), a 40-year-old mergers and acquisitions lawyer with a permanent scowl on his face and a cellular phone in his belt. Banning has lost any memory of being Peter Pan, and he is also in danger of losing his wife, Moira (Caroline Goodall) and two children, Jack (Charlie Korsmo) and Maggie (Amber Scott). One day, Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith) asks him, "Peter, don't you know who you are?" Peter comes into the same bedroom where the original Peter Pan story began to discover a note from Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman), informing Peter that he has kidnapped his children. With the encouragement Granny Wendy and Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), he transform himself into Peter Pan and off to Never Land to rescue his kids..


DYING YOUNG
Dying Young was adapted from a novel by Marti Leimbach. When Victor Geddes (Campbell Scott) discovers that he is suffering from leukemia, his wealthy family hires pretty, young Hilary O'Neil (Julia Roberts) to help nurse him through his chemotherapy treatment. As the two struggle through the debilitating effects of Victor's treatment, they fall in love and attempt to make the most of their time together...




THE PELICAN BRIEF
Embroiled in an affair with Thomas Callahan (Sam Shephard), her alcoholic professor, the 24-year-old law student Darby Shaw (Julia Roberts) writes up an insightful theory about the murder of two Supreme Court justices, one of whom, served as Callahan's mentor. When Callahan is murdered and the President (Robert Culp) convinces the FBI to hold off on investigating Darby's theory as the resourceful student been stalked by assassin Khamel (Stanley Tucci). Her only hope of escaping Callahan's fate and proving her theory lies on investigative reporter, Gray Grantham (Denzel Washington), who's already had one confidential source back out of sharing information about the assassinations...


I LOVE TROUBLE
In the style of the scresball comedies of the 1930s and 1940s, I Love Trouble depicts the developing romance of two rival reporters who reluctantly fall for each other while competing for a major scoop. Old hand Peter Brackett (Nick Nolte) and aspiring newcomer Sabrina Peterson (Julia Roberts) first meet when they are both assigned to cover a mysterious train crash. The pair immediately develops a connection despite their professional rivalry, and they decide to work together. Sensing something fishy about the crash, they look deeper and are soon fighting to expose a wide-ranging conspiracy, while also struggling to out-charm each other along the way...


SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT
Grace King Bichon (Julia Roberts), a prim small-town wife who is incensed when she learns that her husband Eddie Bichon (Dennis Quaid) is having an affrair, and that it's not his first dalliance. Grace embarrasses him publicly, then moves in with her wise-mouthed little sister Emma Rae (Kyra Sedgwick). Grace becomes even angrier when her mother Georgia (Gena Rowlands) and wealthy father, horse breeder Wyly King (Robert Duvall), side with Eddie in the conflict, fearing the small-town gossip that's sure to swirl around their daughter's marital woes..


MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING
Michael O'Neil (Dermot Mulroney) and Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) were romantically involved in college, and after breaking up, they have managed to remain close friends. They have a pledge that if both were single when they turned 28, they would get married. Shortly before her 28th birthday, Julianne gets a call from Michael, who announces that he has important news. Julianne is convinced that Michael is going to ask her to marry him but it became the sad state of her love life when he announces that he's engaged to Kimmy Wallace (Cameron Diaz). Julianne has realized how much she loves Michael and not give him up without a fight. Julianne's uneasy ally in the battle for Michael's affections is her friend, George Downes (Rupert Everett), a homosexual who is not prepared when Julianne asks him to pose as her boyfriend...


CONSPIRACY THEORY
Jerry Fletcher (Mel Gibson) is a NY cab driver who seems to have absorbed every bit of crackpot information passed along as "suppressed news" that's surfaced on talk radio or the Internet in the past 20 years. He publishes his own journal of forbidden information and seems like another NY city lunatic. He spends his spare time following Alice Sutton (Julia Roberts), a government attorney. However, one day Jerry is kidnapped and worked over by CIA operatives; he is convinced that one of the theories he uncovered must be for real but he has no idea which one. He tries to get Alice to help him and both drawn into a dangerous web that  leads to a startling revelation of just how Jerry got this way...


STEPMOM
A story that pits the birth mother against the new mother. Jackie's (Susan Sarandon) ex-husband, Luke (Ed Harris), who gets weekend custody of their two kids, is living with a woman half his age named Isabel (Julia Roberts). Luke is always away at work, the burden of getting the kids ready for school when they are with their father falls on Isabel and she just isn't the nurturing type. When Jackie learns that she has cancer, she realizes that her kids will be left with this irresponsible Isabel as their mother especially Luke proposes marriage to her. What ensues is part parenting lesson, part competitive parenting, but 100% family bonding, as Jackie must learn to allow Isabel to be part of her world and her family...


RUNAWAY BRIDE
In 1990, Pretty Woman turned Julia Roberts into a star and gave Richard Gere's career a much-needed boost. For 1999, they both reunited for the romantic comedy Runaway Bride. Julia Roberts plays Maggie, who has left so many prospective husbands at the altar that she has gained notoriety as "the runaway bride", and a reporter (Richard Gere) is assigned to write a story about her. He tracks her down to a small town in Maryland where she's spending time with her family and preparing to give marriage another try. However, the more time she spends with the persistent reporter, the more second thoughts she has about her fiancees...


NOTTING HILL
William Thacker (Hugh Grant) is a bookseller in Notting Hill, who shares a house with an eccentric Welsh friend, Spike (Rhys Ifans). One day, William is minding the store when in strolls Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), a well-known actress from US who is in London working on a film. Their relationship starts when she buys a book from him and he bumps into her on the street, spilling juice all over her blouse. Since he lives nearby, William offers her to stop by his house to clean up; since William seems harmless enough, Anna agrees. When Anna has to pick up a bag she left at William's house, they kiss, just in time for Spike to show up...


ERIN BROCKOVICH
Based on the true story of a woman who helped win the largest settlement ever paid in a direct-action lawsuit. Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) is a single mother of three who after losing a personal injury lawsuit, asks her lawyer, Ed Masry (Albert Finney), find her a job. Ed gives her work as a file clerk in his office, and she runs across some information on a little-known case filed against Pacific Gas and Electric. Erin persuades Ed to allow her to do further research; in time, she discovers a systematic cover-up of the industrial poisoning of a city's water supply, which threatens the health of the entire community...


THE MEXICAN
Jerry Welbach (Brad Pitt) is a low-level Mafia with bursts of dumb luck. Jerry's girlfriend, Samantha (Julia Roberts) wants him to get out of the business. But after the mid-level crime kingpin Bernie Nayman (Bob Balaban) in jail, Bernie insists that Jerry do one last errand for the mob. He has to go to Mexico and recover a rare valuable pistol, which is said to be cursed. Samantha objects but Jerry heads south of the border, while Samantha, in a huff, sets out for Las Vegas. Finding the pistol is easy enough but making his way back is an unexpected challenge. They hire Leroy (James Gasdolfini), a hitman to kidnap Samantha as an insurance that he'll return with the goods. However, Samantha and Leroy quickly strike up a friendship along with a few other secrets...


OCEAN'S ELEVEN
A rag-tag group of con artists and ex-cons team up for the heist to end all heists in this high-profile remake of the 1960 Rat Pact favorite. Danny Ocean (George Clooney) conspires with his old pal Rusty Ryan (Brat Pitt) to rob 150 millions from an underground vault that serves three of Las Vegas' biggest casinos. They recruit nine other men, each with his own criminal specialty, to assist in the mission. What Ocean doesn't tell the group is that there's another reason he's coordinating the heist is the three casinos owned by ruthless gambling mogul Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), who just happens to be married to Ocean's former love, Tess (Julia Roberts)...


AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS
Lee (Billy Crystal), a studio publicist desperately trying to keep several facts secret from reporters during a high-profile motion picture's press junket. MONA LISA SMILE
Set in 1953, Mona Lisa Smile tells the story of Katherine Watson (Julia Roberts), a new young art history professor at Wellesley College, an all-female campus with a prestigious reputation for academic excellence. Unfortunately, her teaching stint comes during a less-progressive time and finds most of her students more interested in nabbing a good husband than achieving scholastic and intellectual growth. Watson challenges her students what it means to be a success...




OCEAN'S TWELVE
After pulling off the heist of their lives, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his palls unexpectedly find themselves back in harness in this sequel to 2001's blockbuster hit Ocean's Eleven. After robbing from the Bellaggio Hotel Casino and winning back his former wife, Tess (Julia Roberts) from Bellagio owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), Danny is living quietly on the lam in Connecticut when he's approached by Benedict. It seems Benedict has tracked down Danny and the ten men who helped him the impossible roberry. Benedeict offers them a proposal, if they can repay in two weeks, he won't kill them. Danny and his best friend, Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt), set out to plan a robbery to recover the loot, with the same crew helping out...
